Wildlife Safaris and Nature Retreats: What's Your Calling?
This Wednesday Post: Know about the national parks in India, find a gorgeous retreat in Pench (Madhya Pradesh), get closer to the wildlife in Australia, plan a trip to Kenya and more!
Hey there!
Here's an honest confession, I started enjoying game drives in my late 20s - that’s when I finally had the chance to spend time in national parks and reserves around the world. Initially, my excitement was all about spotting the Big Cats! My first few safaris were in Sundarbans, West Bengal, Ranthambore, Rajasthan, and Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand. Each time, I was laser-focused on finding tigers, and in the process, I somehow missed out on observing the other incredible animals around me.
Then came the life-changing experience of African game drives. I was beyond thrilled to see packs of lions almost every day during that period. Yala National Park in Sri Lanka also offered seamless leopard sightings that added to my excitement!
Over the years, though, I've grown up a bit (or so I like to think!). While Big Cats still fascinate me, I’ve become a keen observer of the jungles themselves. Nowadays, spotting a painted stork or an Asian pied starling brings me just as much joy.
