Who knew spotting snow leopards was so easy?
The Wednesday Post: paragliding, sloths, a journey to the roof of the world and more
White fur, scathing brown (and sometimes blue) eyes, swift silent movements through the snow and fleeting public appearances make the snow leopard one of the most beautiful creatures to make lunch plans with on this planet. Matter of fact, spotting snow leopards has now become a business model in parts of Himachal and Ladakh, and every other country where the animal calls home. With tours comes the financial anxiety of disappointment leading to poor customer reviews.
Solution? Make friends with travellers who follow the calendar of the leopard and know its every step. At least that’s what Riyanka did. And the sweet taste of success is what she has written about it her article about spotting a snow leopard. The thrill is palpable in her words!

Destination of the week: Milam
6 days, 60 km and a journey to the uncrowned roof of the world. That's what it takes to get to Milam, a ghost village ahead of Munsiyari in Uttrakhand. Trekkers make this moderately difficult walk to go see the Milam Glacier and to enjoy the valleys, forests, wildlife and constellations that they encounter every day. Rohan's pictures from his trek will stay with you long after you delete this email.
Just like you, this newsletter is also trying to wander as far as possible. If you’re a regular reader, share it with a friend!
Today's newsletter was sponsored by this pygmy sloth out for a swim in non-chlorinated waters. Every day is a Sunday when you’re a sloth.
That's all for this week. I'll see you next Wednesday.
